The Santa Ynez appellation geography of this part of California is very unique as the region is the only area on the Pacific Coast of North America with traverse or east to west mountain ranges. Contained within this appellation is the Santa Rita Hills AVA a sub appellation of the Santa Ynez Valley with its ocean fogs, cool and windy which allows for longer hang times for the fruit advantageous for the development of world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. From this choice area we are pleased to offer land, existing vineyards and an occasional winery.
